This app isn’t just for backyard chicken lovers — it’s made by one too! Our family started out little backyard flock of seven ladies in 2021 and have been loving them since. The main reason for making the app was so we’d have a fun way to keep track of our egg production, releasing it to the App Store was just a way to share that with others. Say hello to the flock below.
Mildred (Millie)
Easter Egger
Millie’s the head our a flock and keeps our ladies in line. She’s also an absolute sweetheart and comes and reports to me every morning. Her greatest accomplishment — she once fought off a hawk (and won).
Trudy
Polish
Trudy is my little buddy and shoulder chicken. She also sometimes gets lost in our small yard and has to be helped back to the coop.
Linda
Wyandotte
Linda’s here for the snacks. Grab a shovel and she’s practically standing on it while you’re digging hoping to find worms. She’s also been known to steal snacks from toddlers.
Fiona (Fi)
Wyandotte
Fiona is our broody lady and is guaranteed to turn into a little nesting turkey at least once a season.
Trudy
Barred Rock
Dotty is your pretty standard Barred Rock and probably has the least personality of the group. But like the rest of them, if you catch her she’s super friendly.
Winnifred (Winnie)
Barnevelder
Winnie’s a strangle one. She’s pretty skittish and her eggs are kind of trash. They’re super fragile and the whites are really watery. But she doesn’t cause any problems, can be a sweetheart in her own way, and is still part of the family.
